Our clothing
Pure Pod creates contemporary, stylish, ethical clothing and interior décor with an urban influence. Our innovative, versatile ranges are created for the design loving, conscious consumer. All ranges are made from high quality, eco friendly and sustainable fabrics including bamboo, organic cotton, hemp, soy and silk.
Pure Pod designs ranges throughout each season. All garments are printed and made locally, enabling Pure Pod to have direct control over the high standards of production, an integral part of our environmental ethos.
The current Spring/Summer collection (2007/08) has been inspired by organic shapes from the beautiful relaxed Byron landscapes with urban undertones. Colours of the natural surrounds are encapsulated in a soft range of tones for a sultry summers day.
The cool, soft textiles used in this collection include bamboo, a high quality textile that is fresh to wear, adapts to your body temperature, is great for allergy sensitive skin and minimises water wastage.
Our philosophy
Pure Pod creates chic contemporary clothing/products for the ethical consumer. Providing a design based, high quality, Australian made product with sustainability as its backbone from conception, through production, packaging and to delivery. Statistics show there is mass growth in the ethical market both overseas and within Australia. The high street stores of the UK and USA are jumping on new ranges of sustainable clothing, accessories and home décor products. Pure Pod is amongst a handful of pioneers in the Australian market.
The clothing industry produces large amounts of wastage from the development process through to production. Pure Pod takes great care through our entire process to make our company as environmentally friendly as possible. We are working hard to make our manufacturing footprint carbon neutral and clean for our future generations.
In addition, Pure Pod is setting up an alliance with ‘Rainforest Rescue’ for a
percentage of sales to be donated to help rainforest restoration and endangered wildlife. More information about the work of Rainforest Rescue can be found here: www.rainforestrescue.org.au
